Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween to everybody who celebrates it! Hope you're all having a good one. Anyone doing anything or dressing up as anything fun? You may have already seen this, but Sagakure made some adorably cute Kaname, Zero and Yuki Halloween chibis!

I'm sorry I haven't updated my story "Secrets in the Dark" in so long. I am more than half-way done with the next chapter, but there's been a lot of different things happening that have been keeping me from having time to get it done.
A few of you already know, but for everyone else who doesn't, my fiance and I broke up back near the beginning of the year. It was very hard for me and for a long time I just didn't want to talk about it. Honestly, I guess in a way I still don't, which is why I've put off really mentioning it online until now. It was a major contributor to my writing funk this year because it's hard to write romance when you're feeling the way I was feeling. Time marches on and I feel like I'm mostly in an okay place about it all now, but it has caused a lot of changes in my life, including my living arrangements - which is the reason why I'm boring anyone reading this with the uninspiring details of my personal life. :P
For the past little while I have been sharing a place with a friend of mine and her two kids, all of whom are dears. I won't compromise my friend's privacy by going into details, but there has been a situation over the past couple weeks which has resulted in me temporarily needing to be in charge of the kids and has soaked up a lot of time for other reasons. I'm confident everything will work out, but right now it's all a little crazy. On the up-side, I'll be helping the kids with their costumes and taking them trick-or-treating tonight, which is an experience I've not had in years and I think it will be fun. :)
Sorry for dumping all that out there, but this is what has been happening to my writing time lately and it was beginning to feel lame to just keep saying that life was getting in the way, even though it's true. You all are very patient with me and I wanted to let you know it's not for a lack of wanting to get it done that it's been on hold so long. I am working on the next chapter, have it halfway done, actually. I will get it finished as soon as I am able.

Hi! I'm sorry to hear about your break-up and completely understand your writer's block! Everyone needs time and space to heal and I certainly don't blame you for taking the time that you need.
Hope everything works out for you and definitely enjoy the time you have with the kids - Halloween is definitely a great way to have fun and forget about your worries for a bit!
I've been a fan of yours for years and am loyal enough to wait as long as it takes for you to continue your stories, which are a beautifully written and is a wonderful AU that still maintains canon of the original VK.

I just wanted to say that you have my support (as well as a dozen of others, I'm sure,) and that to take care of yourself first. A happy Blackened Wing is far, far more important than the next chapter to Secrets in the Dark. Thank you for confiding in us your personal life and I wish for everything to work out. Oh, and thank you of course for sharing your wonderful stories; I've spent many a night (and morning) reading them. :) Happy Halloween!

Your work is amazing, it has been my main source of procrastination and I assure you it has done it's job quite thoroughly! I can't even remember what I'm ment to be doing with my time anymore! I read secrets I the dark first then went back to crimson door and blood moon to get my head around everything and iv just simply been engrossed! Iv never been much of a reader, never finding a book to hold my attention really but your stories have made me laugh cry and feel all fuzzy with all the explicit detail haha the personas seem to mesh so well with the characters in the manga i hardly remeber the original story! Plus I never thought I would fall in love with zero and kaname as a couple, going back and reading the Manga now just doesn't satisfy! In a positive way though :) so please continue writing I'm so happy I stumbled upon your work after rummaging through painfully unsophisticated vulgar fanfics, your list of fanfics have released that burden :).. So all In all I just thought id express my gratitude :) also i appreciate your post on the two extra novels, would you know if the Katio and zero story has been translated yet?

Dear Vani *hugs* I'm so sorry to hear that. It's good that you're feeling better but hoestly, it's amazing that you've still continued to write when it's enough to make muses scamper away even those bred on blood tablets and running plot bunny farms :D
Take as much time as you need. Hope you had fun and a good haul treat or treatin' even though sweets aren't that good for one :)

I second all the above comments. You are an amazingly dedicated writer and person, and it had always been a privilege to read your stories and find out how you're doing. I'm sorry to hear that you've had a tough year :(. Don't feel too pressured to update quickly; write at your own pace and whenever you have time. Remember that we're your fans no matter what, so long waits in between chapters are no big deal; we completely understand. And I just take the opportunity to go back and reread your other wonderful works :)

I hope that things are getting better for you. I don't want to sound weird (wait that already sounds weird-oh no!=o) But I've been following your stories and website for a year now, but have never posted/commented. Your last comment though really got to me and made me realize that I wanted to let you know that you are not alone in this world.
