My Vampire Heart

This delightful tidbit of news has been brought to my attention by VaneCaos, Isilen and Sagakure (thank you ladies!! :D) and I just had to share it.

Apparently, Ms. Hino recently had a sleep over with three friends and according to their blogs, the result was that at one point they ended up all playing with the Kaname and Zero bedsheets with some... very interesting results.


One of Ms. Hino's friends urge that Kaname's head needs to go nearer to Zero's crotch... LOL! (OMG, they are so much like us! XD)

It's cute, since she's the actual author and I'm sure she doesn't want to cause trouble with her publishers or any fans that might be offended, Hino's post (as much of it as I can understand) is more shy and kind of "we were kidding around", but Yuna's is more fangirly and gives us more of the story. She is, for instance, the one giving the info about their friend who was trying to get Kaname's head into compromising places, etc. XD

Hino wrote a message teasing Yuna for being a "pervert" on the Zero sheet (like Zero's saying it) LOL you can see a pic of that on Yuna's blog and the VK LJ site.

If you read through the comments on the VK LJ post there's more translations of what was being said in both blogs, so be sure to check that out as well as the main LJ post itself.

I love that Ms. Hino and her friends all have fun teasing and playing with things just like us fans do, and that they shared that with us. :) ♥

Well, the chapter's 10 pages long although it feels like we don't get too far along... but it has to break there because the next scene is going to be harder to break up. ;D *cough* And, because I wanted to be able to post this weekend. ;)

Man, I'm exhausted this weekend. *feels draggy* So I won't ramble through my neurosis of everything I think is wrong with this chapter, and instead will just hope that you'll all like it anyway. :)

Vampire Knight Chapter 53 is out and scanlated!

It's not up on OneManga yet, but it will be within a day or so probably for everyone who likes to read it there.

It's a pretty calm / exposition chapter where we get more people and events moving into place, but it's still quite enjoyable. I don't really have time to ramble right now, so I shall just hit some of my favorite points of the chapter. This is by no means a summary, it's just me randomly fangirling stuff, LOL.

SPOILERS AHEAD....

*squee* The chapter opens with Zero in the stable, curled up beside Lily (the spunky horse that's not afraid of him from earlier on in the manga) and I just love that image for some reason. Zero with horses is so lovely. I know from personal experience that with some horses, you can get this incredibly calm, peaceful feeling when you touch them / brush them / lean against them. I wonder if that's a bit of what Lily does for Zero, plus the fact that she's the only one who doesn't start freaking out or seem afraid when his aura starts escaping and frightens the others (at least that's what it looks like happens). Anyway, I like that scene. :D

Another thing I really liked was the flashback of Kaname doing Yuki's nails! *grins herself silly* Kaname kneeling in front of her, giving her a manicure and pedicure and obviously enjoying it so cutely is just ADORABLE! LOL Yuki's so lucky. You gotta admit that as either a boyfriend or a brother, Kaname rocks. *giggles* Of course, now I have these great, very teenage-girly images in my head of Yuki and Kaname sitting down and being all like: let's do each other's nails! XD *dies*

The "girl talk" that Yuki and Ruka were sharing when that came out and the way they talked about Kaname together was kind of sweet too.

The introduction of Kaito and Zero's interactions with him was interesting. Also his and Yori's interactions and the way he uses her as bait... o_o;. I look forward to seeing what role he will end up having to play. (Nice eye candy at any rate... XD)

Loved Kaname and Zero seeing each other again at the meeting, naturally, even if it was kind of breif. Them just being in the same room makes my day. XD

I thought it was kind of nice that Shiki wanted to sort of support his cousins... by which I'm assuming he means Kaname and Yuki, even though he has a lot of reason to be turned off by his family connections *chuckles*. Was it just me, or did he seem a little more decisive and less "whatever" in attitude when talking to Rima then in the past? I wonder if the whole thing with Rido has actually had a kind of backwards positive effect on him, because he started standing up and all. Them running into Takuma like they do was cute, and leaves me wanting to see more of what happens. *is still so curious about Takuma's whole current situation*

Ack, okay, I have to scoot for a while. But go enjoy the chapter and don't forget to say thanks to Sagakure for all her dedicated work! :D

The morning show I listen to on my way to work was interviewing two vampires this morning. Seriously. I was giggling almost all the way to work. Not because it was a funny interview, just because I'm weird and it amused me so highly that vampires suddenly popped up in that kind of place. (It's not a wacky show or anything like that, usually their guests are musicians or comedians, etc.)

But these folks were honest-to-goodness self-proclaimed vampires and were part of an entire community of such. They wear the fangs and clothes and contacts and all that, but these particular kind don't drink blood, they aren't "sanguine vampires" as they called them, they're "psychic vampires" - they say they feed on energy because there's an imbalance in their chakras or something and they have to feed on others in order to stay in balance... um... or something like that. It kinda went over my head and I'm probably screwing it up, LOL because as soon as I heard about feeding on energy I got sucked off into Vampire Knight land and was wondering if adult vampires completely lose the ability to pull energy from others like they do as children when they start feeding on blood, or if they could still do that if they wanted to as well, but it's just that they couldn't live on it anymore. *snickers*

Yes, if you look up "hopeless fanatic" in the dictionary, you'll see my name there.

Anyway, the interview was interesting because these people are very serious about what they consider their physical condition and also very pleasant and normal sounding LOL and of course, although they were very professional about it, the interviewers obviously didn't believe them and thought they were a little off, so it was giving me all these thoughts and silly little plot bunnies about what would happen if some person in the press "outed" some of the Night Class as Vampires. But nobody really believed it, just like we wouldn't believe it if we heard something like that, so instead of denying it they're all like: "oh yeah, we're vampires..." and then make up some crazy stuff to tell people so that everyone is just like: uh-huh, riiiight... and writes them off as just one more group of crazies or alternative lifestyle people. *chuckles* whilst all the vampires are snickering up their sleeves at them.

Yeah... like I said, hopeless. The smallest things can get me going. *shakes her head at herself* Well foo... now I have to get back to work... *sighs*

In other, much more boring news, I'm sorry I was unable to post anything new over the weekend. Life and work has been slowing me down, as usual. I'm gonna try for next weekend, but I don't know for sure. I'm trying though! *keeps fingers crossed*

I also just picked up several copies of Vampire Knight Vol. 7 which is now available. :) So it's been fun re-reading that in my spare time. I always find even more details and nuances the second time through.

*eyes blogger* hmm, it wouldn't let me post anything here the past few days, kept giving cryptic error messages, but it seems to be working now. *whew* It's a relief, I was starting to get worried.

Anyway, onto something more interesting...

Sagakure did an ADORABLE little Kaname picture a few days ago and she was kind enough to say it was a gift pic for me! *bounces and beams* It's a sleepy little Kaname dragging his blankie, because of the reference I made to Kaname being reminiscent of a five year old when he showed up that way (as an adult) near the end of chapter four in "Secrets in the Dark". :)

I'm going to be away from my computer all weekend, so I pushed a bit and got this chapter done a little sooner than usual! :)

Secrets in the Dark (Zero x Kaname / Kaname x Zero) by Blackened Wing Chapter Four: "Questions of Desire"

LOL unfortunately despite the name there's not a lemon. But one is coming in the very near future, promise. ;)

Only a couple of other fanfiction updates since it's not been too long since my last one, but they're both good ones! They're both on my fanfiction page, but I'm also just linking directly to them since there's only two.

Light Pathetic has updated her wonderful AU / Western story "The Stranger" (LOL I still can't believe how much she makes that unlikely setting work so incredibly well!)

YenGirl has posted a new story called "For the Boy We Love" which is an AWESOME little fic. It's Yagari x Kaname, which is a fairly rare pairing to find and as with all her stories, she handles it excellently. ;) It's set off the circumstances near the end of my story, Blood Moon and comes about because of their mutual (although different LOL) love for Zero... and I suck at explaining it. Um, just go read it, it's wonderful. ;D

Well, I'm absolutely dead tired and I have to get up really early tomorrow, so I'm trundling off to bed now. I don't know if I'll be able to be online at all over the weekend, but if not I'll catch you all next week! :)

Finished my latest Kaname and Zero fanart...

Cufflinks

It's from "Take the Lead" obviously. :) When Zero helps Kaname do up his cufflinks. For some reason that scene made me want to draw it and I finally got around to finishing.

The background is kinda mleh, but I never know what to do with backgrounds. There's a number of things I don't like about the picture, as usual, but overall I think I like the general effect. I got a bunch of great tips from Sagakure a while ago and was trying a new style with this pic. I did the line art all free hand instead of using the paths / pen tool. I definitely like the more organic feeling it allows. I tried to color it more clean and manga-ish too.

LOL first pic that I haven't had to censor in order to put on DA in a while... ;D

Just posted the latest chapter of my ZxK / KxZ story "Secrets in the Dark". It is not actually the chapter I was expecting to post because it lengthened and took on a life of its own LOL but I think it's probably actually better that it did. It's hopefully more interesting to read flashbacks than just an all-narrative explanation. Hopefully. *keeps her fingers crossed*

Also a tiny little bit of a lemon. ;) Very fleeting I'm afraid, sorry, but it's mentioned.

Oh my gosh, my authors notes are just getting ridiculously long lately though. :X I need to stop doing that. But I always worry at the beginning of a story that people are going to be like: why is she telling us this? Why do we need to know that? But it all is important... *thinks she's probably the neurotic one* XD
