From a marketing standpoint, I can totally see where they're coming from what with all the vampire books, movies and TV shows that are popular right now, but their advertising copy is cracking me up like whoa.
Fruit punch flavored blood?! LOL tell me that isn't just a little funny? And this line: "Get real blood nutrients without that real blood taste!" Um... were there a lot of us sitting around, randomly drinking blood and going "mleh! Man, I wish I could get this without that dang real blood taste..." ?? XD
The funny thing is that a couple of years ago, I would have seen a product like this and gone "ew gross!" but now I can tell how much Vampire Knight has corrupted me because I don't think it's gross, I find it interesting and amusing and... *coughsandwhispersreallyfast* I might actually feel a little tempted to try it, if I ever happened to see it in the grocery store or something.
Although I would feel rather embaressed taking it through the checkout lane. It'd probably be kind of like buying condoms, you know? Where you're trying to act all like: "oh yeah, those are for someone else..." and not fooling anyone.
I'm all amused now though because I'm sitting here imagining what our VK vampires would think of such a product. I wonder if it would puzzle them to death, the idea of fruit punch flavored blood. Considering they like the flavor of the original, I'm getting the greatest mental images of say, Aido trying this stuff and making an OMG I just swallowed pure sugar face and suddenly deciding that blood tablets weren't so bad after all. ;D
LOL or Zero has some and is going to give it a try to see if it really does work like blood or not, and Kaname sees him, doesn't know it's fake and is all like "what are you drinking?" *takes a sip... tries not to spit and chokes it down*
Kaname: *thinking Zero likes it and trying to be polite* "Um..." *cough splutter yuck* "how... interesting..."
Zero: "You think so? Because I thought it was the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted..." LOL
I wonder if Shiki and Rima with their pocky sweet tooth or Takuma with his interest in fun/odd things would actually like it.
So what about everyone reading this? What are your opinions? Would you try a drink like this just for the heck of it, or is the weird factor too high?

OMG really? *giggles* It does look 'hospital-ish' but then again, like you, after having been corrupted by VK and gorgeous vampires, I don't feel the need to barf :)
*giggles at various Night Class reactions* I think Takuma would be the only person to very possibly give it a thumbs up or at least not pass out from the fruit flavour but ROTFL on Kaname and Zero's reactions!! So IC of Kaname to want to be polite not to hurt Zero's feelings and so IC of Zero to just say what he thinks and thankfully allow Kaname to laugh and agree as well :D *hearts*

You know, I've always wondered. What kind of blood types the vampires have. Because vampires drink other people's blood they are intaking different types of blood. (A, B, AB, O) Positives and negatives too.
Is their blood special? (Perhaps their blood is a special brand not in any category) Is it able to absorb others blood and create nutrients from that, even if the blood type isn't the same?
Just imagine, some human is gonna mistake it for a donation and hook it up as an transfusion. :D Who needs fruity blood?

wow...um...they're really taking energy drinks to a new level, hahaha. I'm with you, VK has corrupted me too; cause i saw it and didn't go 'eeeeeeeeeeewwwwww' i just went '?????' *laughs*. I have absolutely no idea if these will sell or not, i mean it could be tempting to see what the hell it would actually taste like...buuuuuuuut *laughs*.
*bursts out laughing at the reactions of our vampires* i love how when you write down reactions and scenarios between the Night Class it comes out as if you know EXACTLY what they're going to do and say. *laughs* it's lovely that you know their personalities so well! Kaname and Zero's reaction *chuckles* i loved it!

Lol, that's just so awesome. :) I would buy some and then walk into a public place (say a church, hospital, or the mall for examples) and pretend it was the real thing and that I wanted to drink it about as badly as Kaname wants to glomp Zero... of course my sister would have to have the video camera near by.
By the way, I love all your fanfiction. I've read everything you've ever posted on FFnet and I have to say that you are just a marvelous writer.
Looking forward to more of your stuff soon and hoping FFnet isn't giving you as much trouble as it has me these last few days. Happy (smexy) writing!

When I first saw the picture and read the post I was already accepting plans to buy it if it hit a nearby store. hehe. Then I saw the price was $6 and wasn't supposed to even immitate the taste of real blood. What's the fun of pretending you're a blood sucker if all you taste is corn syrup!
Your writing has currupted *enlightened!* me far more then any other vampire works I've read or seen for me to be interested in actually trying synthetic blood! =D (this coming from a vegetarian, lol)
I agree with YenGirl that Takuma would be the only one that might like it.
I could, however, see Yuki trying to give it to her two boys if they were stuck in a situation where they couldn't feed (maybe visiting Yuri's family for some reason) and her thinking that the "nutritional content" might make up for the real thing. I'd love to see their faces attempting to keep it down for her sake!! haha

Somehow they've lost their blood tablets or they got wet and ruined or something, and although they'd probably actually be fine for a while, Yuki doesn't quite get that and is insisting and trying to be all helpful, really thinking that this might work or at least help a little... LOL!!! And our dear boys try to choke it down just to set her mind at ease... hehehehehe precious! :D

...Although it looks not really tasty, i'd like to try it at least one time. Who knows, maybe I'll get addicted to B negative fruit flavored blood. That would be fun on Halloween! But really, what is the fun in blood drinking beside for vampires? Do they really think that people will go all: Oh, yummy it really has all the nutritive qualities of real blood with a good flavor of strawberry. I should buy that instead of buying blood at blood bank!

k1216: Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure this product is meant to cater mostly to the vampire loving crowd. I can't really think of anyone else who would go: Oh look, all the same nutrients of blood, how yummy! XD
I wanted to see if I could get some for halloween, but I wasn't able to, drat it all. Still want to try it though. :D
