Vampire Knight Chapter 50
Yay! What with being sick and all, I actually managed to forget that it was about time for the next VK chapter to come out!! :D It is now out and has been scanlated once again by our wonderful Sagakure! :D *sends huge hugs and snuggles*

The chapter was SUCH a delight!! I love the wolf form representations of Kaname and Zero on the cover spread. Black fur and Silver fur, so pretty... :)
LONG RAMBLY SPOILERS AHEAD
Zero was just utterly lovely in it. *happily drools all over him* The cliffy on the last chapter left me really worried for him, so it's such a relief to see that he's doing okay and actually finding a kind of balance in his life, tenuous though it might be.
The scenes in the beginning with him and the little kid are just SO DARN CUTE!!! I love Zero showing his gentle side like that. *melts again at his soft, lovely little kinda-smiles*
Another thing I love - Zero having his own apartment. No clue why, but for some reason I just like it. Maybe it was how hot he looked flopped on his bed like that with his hair all around his face.... ;)
It was great to see the Chairman again too. I was worried for him as well after the last time we'd seen him. LOL love the Zero smash wall bit *giggles* my, my, Zero, not getting just a little used to that extra-souped-up vampire strenth, are we? :D It's fun and interesting that the Chairman's aura was apparently capable of occasionally seeming enough like a vampire to mess with his senses like that.
Their whole conversation was lovely. It was cute how obviously you could see Cross worrying about Zero, but being on the whole reassured and relieved (just like the rest of us) to find that Zero was okay and was controlling his hurt/anger and urges to hunt. I still kinda ache for Zero, obviously still hungering a lot, needing to fill up his nights with hunting so that he doesn't have to worry about what else he might do. Him quieting his needs by killing vampires is a weee bit on the creepy side, but in a angsty-cool way, especially since he's sticking to the lawful way of doing it. :) In some small ways, he actually seemed to be coming to terms a bit with himself, or that was the feeling I got anyway, so that's good. :) If he goes to school during the day and hunts at night though, I have to wonder when he sleeps. LOL oh, wait, I forgot, he's in high school, that would be what tests and study period are for. ;D
On that note, I am also GREATLY comforted to hear that Cross Academy apparently is still carrying on. We know the day class is, anyway, will be interesting to find out if there's still a night class or not.
Okay, major revelation here - Zero can take blood tablets now! This surprised me a lot. I wondered ever since Zero drank Kaname's blood if the transference would help at all, and then with Ichiru, I wondered again, but it's cool that he seems tentatively stabilized right now. Well, okay, I admit, I adore unstabilized-and-needy!Zero a lot *cough* but with the way things are right now, this is SO much better for him. Plus, I think it's helped with his mental state and all too. Not just because he's stabilized, but because he can take the pills and doesn't have to drink blood. (Even if it still kinda looks like he was starving, the way he was chugging those pills - OH YES so much like Kaname in that one flashback *giggles*)
Cannot say how much I ADORED Zero finding out from the Chairman that Kaname had been working just as hard from his side of things to get all the rouge vamps under control as well. :D Hehe his intense reaction was both angsty and cute somehow. *is weird* I have to completely agree with Sagakure's comments on her LJ about how delightful and adorable it is that Zero has decided to "let Kaname live" for now, because they need him to get the other vampires under control. SO much like Kaname "let Zero live" because he needed him to protect Yuki. *huge grin* Oh my gosh, Zero, Zero darling... you have no idea how much you and Kaname are actually alike in some ways... XD
OH OH OH and Zero cracking the window with his upset / disturbed aura! :D :D Yet another case in point. ;)
Okay. WOW. Imagining Zero as the probable future Hunter Association president - I JUST LOVE IT. *nods vigorously* If things do end up that way, I think he would make a great pres, especially once a few more issues are worked out, through the course of things. :) Again, I have to agree with Sagakure, what better world could you end up with than with Kaname as the Vampire King/Leader/Figurehead/whatever and Zero as the head of the Hunter's Association? *has an explosion of plot bunnies... all of which somehow end up being yoai* LOL
Hopping over to Kaname and Yuki... oh gosh, Kaname's such a dear. I feel sorry that Yuki apparently doesn't want to use her fangs / drink blood like an adult (lol) but Kaname was so cute about it all. Trying to be all "okay, this is no good for you, you have to do it now, I mean it...!" and then totally crumbling and just letting her have the blood from the cut anyway. *grins* OMG, if that attitude extended to anyone he loved dearly (which I kinda think it would) can you just imagine the crap his kids would be able to get away with? *snickers* somehow, I think Yuki (or Zero... *coughs and drifts off into yaoi world again*) would so have to be the disciplinarian.
It's painfully cute in a way, that Yuki is apparently having issues with using her fangs, after she was the one always telling Zero it was okay. Oh, and before I forget - yay! Kaname has both hands back now. :D
Seeing Aido in this chapter was unexpected and fun! The idea of him being Yuki's private tutor is just so much win!! XD *chokes on her laughter* I can't tell you how much I cracked up over that one. It's also really cute to see that he seems pretty relaxed around her - teasing, giving her a bit of a hard time, etc. all in a very friendly and adorable way now though. It's just cute that he seems much less concious of her pureblood-ness than he does of Kaname's. Perhaps because Yuki doesn't act like it and because they knew each other before. Anyway, their interactions were really fun.
Kaname and Yuki were really cute together when Kaname popped in again too. Aww... :D Hehehe and Aido's shock over his father actually inturrupting them! *giggles some more*
I love the thought that Kaname is off to meet with the hunters... which means, he's going to see Zero too. :D *wonders if we'll get to see that in the next chapter at all*
I am very interested to see where all this is going to go. We definitely get a 'building' feeling now, as all the peices are moved into place to start the new arc of the story. I adored the "school" arc, and am very much looking forward to the next one. I like the fact that we don't have a formula yet for this one, don't really know where it's going to go or how the major players are going to fall into place. *is happily excited for future chapters* Looking forward to it!!

SGK is truly amazing! I'll have to wait till Monday to read her comments but read Ch50 off Onemanga and wow... fell in love again!
I was kinda depressed after reading Ch49 coz of Kaname getting Yuuki and poor Zero depressed and unstable... but my lovely darling's doing well for himself and I was surprised to see him in his school uniform! He was awesome and so gentle and sweet to that child - so reminds me of your fics, Vani! *hearts*
Cross was cute too and oh yes, Zero as head of HA and Kaname as head of VC... *smiles widely and has some of those plot bunnies appear at her side too, definitely yaoi ones* May not have time to attend to them though... what about you, Vani? SGK? *hopeful smile*
Kaname and Yuuki were really sweet - bless him, he can't say no to those he loves, can he? Yes, wish that included Zero...
Aido's fun (darn his father!) and wow, I'm excited again and looking forward to Ch51 if it's only for Kaname and Zero meeting each other again after one year *knows she shouldn't expect anything yaoi-like*
It's cool that Zero can take those tablets now even if the life he leads now makes me want to cry a little... and send him lots of eye cream for that horrifying lack of proper sleep.

I cry for Zero in this episode, badly!!! Poor, poor Zero!
I wish he would at least take the chance to live a little more selfishly... I hope he kills Kaname and Yuki soon(KanYuu haters).

LOL I don't know if I'll have time around my other fics to attend to the new bunnies with Zero and Kaname both in those leadership positions, but if I ever have a little time and the right inspiration strikes, I might. *glances at her muse for some kind of indication, but her muse, as usual, is ignoring her and happily torturing something* Err.. right. Guess we'll have to wait and see. ;)

49 was wonderful in so many ways, but 50 was also such delight, especially since 50 brought us such a wonderful feeling of reassurance for Zero. :D
Other than for the lack of Yuuki (if she was human especially) near him, Zero's life is looking better now than it has ever since Shizuka bit him. :D
It was so unexpected, and so wonderful. :D I hope he'll be okay.
I REALLY don't understand some of the extreme fans who wish he'd kill his loved one and all. O_o If he did that, he'd be destroying himself. :(
If they care for Zero they shouldn't wish for him to kill Yuuki, or even Kaname, considering the consequences such a thing would have for them all. :-/
It's so odd that they don't see how obvious it is that he'd be destroying himself as well, if he killed Yuuki or destroyed her happiness.

Oh yeah, honestly, I think that for Zero to really be happy ultimately, he needs to be able to accept himself and other vampires and reconcile with Yuki. I think Yuki needs him to do that in order to be truly happy as well, and Kaname needs Yuki to be happy for him to be truly happy... LOL so really, it's all hinging on you, Zero ♥ *giggles* No pressure or anything. XD

Anon: Right now there's no plans for that that I know of, but we can always hope/dream that if the series continues to grow and do well financially they might. They went and re-did the entire Fullmetal Alchemist anime because the series was so popular after all, so... *forever the optimist* LOL
