Ichiru gets to be in it just because I needed two to go after one... *is shot for coming up with such extreme nonesense*
For it to be at all funny, you have to sing it in your head to the tune... cause I tried to make sure that all the sylables mostly fit. ;) You do have to draw the word skivvies out so it's ski-ii-vies to fit the tune, just a note... *is shot again both for having the word 'skivvies' in a song and for trying to explain how to sing it* XD

Finally updated Blood Moon! As usual lately, I think it's crap, but maybe being so busy lately has tainted my view of my own writing. Everyone is still kind enough to be absolutely lovely about it, so that encourages me at least and makes me feel like I should keep trying. :)
There have been a whole boatload of other wonderful, delicious and AMAZING new and updated stories, but I'm not able to do a full update right now, so I shall update them seperately soon.
Also, Vampire Knight Guilty Episode 8 "The Spiral of Recollection" is out! And Yuurisan-subs has translated Episode 7 from last week. I'm downloading both now, but since I'm obviously in catch up mode at the moment, I won't comment much, save to SQUEEE quietly because apparently in Ep 8 we get Yuki's turn and the Yuki x Kaname bite, which is SUCH a lovely scene. XD
I am seriously in awe of how fast she scans and translates!
The new theme of my blog is inspired by the "Battle Royale" kind of feeling at the end of the chapter. :D I don't know that there will actually be a fight, and indeed am somewhat torn about whether I want it to go that way or not, but the thought of the imagery was too wonderful to pass up. I maniped / created the banner image from a bunch of different piccies and colored it. I didn't originally intend to have so much blood in it, or even at all LOL but it needed more color... *hides*
I'm calling it my "beloved enemies" theme. (Even if the beloved part is only in my particular imagination XD).

This was a very exciting chapter! So much is happening on so many fronts. I can't stay on too long just now, so I will try not to ramble too much. I'll just mention a couple of things that come to mind. :)
1) Takuma. EEK! That poor kid... he is seriously getting used a lot lately, first by Rido because of his friendship with Shiki (and by his grandfather, of course), and now perhaps by Sara as well. Being an Ichijo and being as close as he is to Kaname has certainly brought him nothing but pain lately. *feels bad for him* Although I'm certain he was aware that that might be the case from the start, which makes his loyalty to Kaname all the more beautiful. I worry about him in the grip of another pureblood though, we already know what they can do with lower class vampires (think Rido and Aido) although I always get the impression that Takuma is at the top of the noble class, so it will be interesting to see if he's at all able to be more resistant or not, and what will happen. Have to admit... he did look incredibly yummy in a vulnerable sort of way when he was just lying there unconcious.
2) Kaname and the possible reprecussions of his necessary actions. Oooooh man. I'm certain he's well aware that what he's done is going to seriously stir up the vampire world. He's a consumate enough chess player that he's sure to have his plays in place as much as possible, but still, there is SO much possiblity for angst and a very uncertain future now. Everything could start to devolve so quickly... if it hasn't already. This is both distressing and exciting. :) I'm going to stick mostly with exciting, although I am worried about everyone, of course.
3) Cross - he was SERIOUSLY wonderful in this chapter. Honestly, the past few chapters he has SO gone from goofy but loveable side character to omg-when-did-he-become-so-hot-and-cool? LOL! Actually, perhaps because of how very much like Yuki and Zero he and Juri were in the flashback part, I had the wild, random thought that some years down the line, I could see Zero having the potential to turn out a lot like him (sans the, eh, fluffy parts ;D) if he can get over his pain (and live that long... :S). It really seems like Cross had some personal vendetta against vampires in his past as well, although we still don't know that whole story.
I wonder, because of the remark that was made about how people used to call him 'the vampire without fangs' and the fact that they kept referring to a sin in his past, if he has drunk vampire blood at some point? Either because he didn't have a choice, or intentionally...? Mostly I wonder this because of the way after the President died, he said how it wouldn't have been any weirder if he had ended up that way... *ponders* Although, since the president intimated that he was born with a sin (like Zero and Ichiru) there's also a strong possiblity that he was another hunter twin senario, where he was the one that survived to be born, or (and this is a completely wild, random and probably dumb notion that just popped into my head) that he was the child of a hunter and a vampire, but turned out just a very strong hunter... don't know if that's remotely possible, but there's definitely something in his past, since he seemed to feel bound to his fate in hunting vampires, as if he had something to make up for or avenge. Guess we'll probably find out eventually. :)
4) Kaname and Zero. OMG... even though it was just a few panels at the end, them facing off like that gave me shivers. It's been inevitable for a long time that the tension between them would someday come down to a conferentation. I wonder if it will happen now, or if something will get in the way (unless I am mistaken, there are enemies currently descending on the school and that's where Yagari was headed too). And if it does happen... I am both very excited and very worried. I don't mind the idea of them fighting, or hurting each other... just not seriously. Naturally (although not likely) I would prefer it if it ended up with them realizing they don't want to fight each other, or at least, Zero realizing it, since I don't think Kaname really wants to fight Zero unless provoked right now, but who knows?
Ironically, one could almost wonder if Kaname could on some level actually sympathize with Zero's current desire to kill all purebloods. (LOL even if I don't!) From the way Kaname was talking while in ancestor mode before he took out the council, I'm not so sure he's all that fond of of his own race, especially when he sees them making the same mistakes over and over. Not that I think he actually wants them all gone, but LOL could you imagine the look on Zero's face if Kaname suddenly was like: "Good, that's what I want you to do"? LOL! Except for Yuki of course... *chuckles* Not very likely, but still amusing (in a creepy way) to imagine.
I have a couple of songs to share that make me think very much of this whole situation. Although perhaps they have some overtones that are absent from the manga, but that I like to interject in there. ;D

This song has always given me huge Kaname x Zero vibes. Although of course it fits much better with my take on the two of them... ;D still, technically they couldn't exactly live with out each other even in the manga since Zero needed Kaname's blood and Kaname needed Zero to kill Rido. ;) Anyway, parts of the song just strike me pretty well for the mood right now.
And I have totally rambled despite what I said, and now my fiance is giving me long suffering looks since I'm supposed to be helping him pack. We'll be out of town tomorrow, but should be back sometime on Sunday.

Hey there! Sorry for kind of dropping off the planet the past few days. I've been sick and haven't felt like doing anything by the time I get home except dropping onto the couch or into bed and trying to die quietly. LOL *envies vampire health*
However, I am starting to feel much better now. :) And trying to catch up with everything, as usual... although I no longer think I ever shall completely... :*P
I fail at life lately. *sighs* It's been so busy the past few weeks. I've got a backlog of a million things I want to post about, so I'm going to try to get some of them in here now. :)

Okay, I'm sorry, but I can't help but get deliciously incredible Kaname x Zero vibes off that picture. XD Kaname looks totally possessive there. His eyes just seem to radiate "Back off, he's mine." :) On one hand you could look it it as a kind of yummily dark / rough play kind of moment, or, my favorite way to view it - a possessively protective moment, in which Zero has been hurt by someone and Kaname has just pulled him close and is glaring at the other party with that "he's mine" look.
Yagari's inclusion in the picture too (in the full spread) is great. It actually makes me think of a certain upcoming event in Blood Moon... :D
There is another awesome pic from a game magazine called B's Log. It was posted by Sagakure and scanned by kaho_yukimura. The scan from the magazine is of Kaname and Zero sitting peacefully together outside on cushions with Kaname reading a book and Zero playing on a DS.
*happy sigh* that's such a cute, comfortable pic of the two of them just hanging out together. Somehow it just seems completely right and natural that Kaname is reading and Zero's playing video games. XD
Speaking of video games... don't think I've ever posted anything about the upcoming Vampire Knight DS game. It was announced back in August and is due to come out in December. It's a love sim, where you try to woo your guy character of choice. :D

I do not own a DS, I have never played on one before or was even really aware of what they looked like before (yes, I fail at gaming in general *sheepish grin* not for a lack of interest, but a lack of time). But now I shall probably have to buy one just so I can play the game... or talk my fiance into buying me one for Christmas... XD
Of course, if the game is all in Japanese, as I'm sure it probably is, I shall be completely lost unfortunately, but oh well, I'll do like I do on Japanese sites and just click on things and see what happens. *snort* I'll never win anybody that way I'm sure, but at least I can see how much I can confuse and tick them off... :X *imagines all the embaressingly akward and stupid situations she could probably get herself into*

In other news, I recently found translations for some of the Night Class interview / CD spots that came out a while ago over on Valerie's Blog Soliloquised. She's got a lot of good VK stuff on there.
The CD spots were kind of like entrance interviews between Chairman Cross and several members of the Night Class (and Zero). The below links go to Valerie's site and her translations.
While on the subject of the Vampire Knight Drama CDs, there's an awesome one that Sagakure told me about a while ago where the Chairman gets Kaname and Zero to try to pretend to like each other and be best friends for Yuki's sake. ROTFL.
I am almost certain she did a post about it... but I can't find it now. Or maybe we just talked about it via email... O.O I can't remember. Whoa... they say that the brain is the first thing to go... I think I'm already in "brain? what is brain?" mode. XP
Anyhow, I found another summary of it on Soliloquised, so I thought I'd share that link here too while I was sharing the others.
On the fan fiction front, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get the next chapter of Blood Moon done this weekend. Probably not, actually. Things have been so busy and my Muse has kind of gone into coffin-sleep mode as a result, leaving me struggling for inspiration. But don't worry, I'm prodding her with a sharp stick and hopefully, if she doesn't get ticked and eat me first, she'll wake up and get her butt in gear. ;)
I have started another short Takuma and Shiki story that I may start posting soon as well too... *continues to prod her muse who opens one eye and glares at her in irritation* ooh... the eyes are red... that's um... *gulp* hopefully a good sign... ;)
It ended up quite long, almost 20 pages! LOL Doesn't really cover that much ground, but we do see some new developments paving the path for the future and hopefully it's interesting.

Predictably, my favorite part was *SQUEEE* the Zero / Kaname blood drinking. XD I'm so glad that they kept (even if in a slightly modified form) the scene from the manga and I'm utterly delighted that in the Anime they've shared blood twice now. *bounces*
The addition of Aido seeing Zero right afterwards and realizing what must have just happened... *more squeeing* also made me very happy. :D Especially his reaction, because it's so much like I pictured - shocked, protective... but also reluctantly accepting and a bit sad - realizing maybe that Kaname may let Zero in a way that's not possible for him. I liked how kind of soft and hesitant Zero's voice was for a moment there too when he said Aido's name after seeing his reaction. :) Whole bit was just great. It was fun too because although in a different way, I also had Aido find out about that situation in my story in Crimson Door. So naturally I adore that they did it in the anime. :D
I also liked the impressive leap Zero took out of what I'm assuming was Kaname's window when he left. Definitely not something a human could do, and I can't help thinking the added agility and grace there was directly related to what he'd just been doing, just like they showed his wounds disappearing instantly as he was drinking from Kaname. :D
Because I couldn't help myself, I screen captured a bunch of little pics of my favorite parts... :) Couldn't help viewing the whole thing through my yaoi obsessed glasses of course. ;D
