I really enjoyed the episode. Some very nice scenes with Kaname and the other vampires. It was cute how at the beginning they're all congregating outside Kaname's door, wondering if something's wrong, and the adorable reaction to the news that Ichijo's grandpa was coming. *giggles*. I always found the whole bit with Asato Ichijo interesting and thought they handled that really well here. Gotta feel a little sorry for Aido in that scene, I always have, but Kaname really was was protecting him. I loved the shot of Kaname's neck when Asato's giving him that hungry look. Mmmm.... nice. *drools* Jeepers, you've got to feel a little creeped out though, realizing that Kaname had to grow up in that man's house. 0.0

Loved the exchange in the bathroom between Zero and Yuki. *giggles* And I love when she threw her towel at him, which happened to... oops... have her private stuff wrapped up in it and he has this dry, long suffering look like... huh, there's a bra on my head... Yuki: *SNATCH BACK!* LOL that part totally cracked me up.

Zero hunting the level E was really well done too, as was Shiki and Rima's involvement. Very cool to see Shiki's power in action there a little. And even though it's a little angsty too, it was very cool to see Zero in hunter / protector mode.

One more little item of news:

I liked the extended song and the video, the singers are cute and fun to watch, and they've got the whole chained together, victorian looking, tied up in red strings motifs going on throughout which tie in nicely to VK. Actually, when they have the chained together sillohette thing going on I couldn't help thinking: you know, that could be Kaname and Zero... ;)

Which is only reinforced by the cover for the song (which I absolutely ADORE):

YES! The raws for Vampire Knight Chap 40 have just been released!

WOW! A very interesting turn of events, it looks like... but before I go into my short summary / comments...

DON'T READ BELOW IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILERED






Okay, that out of the way...
Kya!!! The chapter starts out with more backstory on Zero and Ichiru it looks like, and they're SO dang cute!! Okay... *sniffles* I'm getting ready for some significant angst when I can understand what they're saying. Just looking at the pictures was bittersweet enough. The chapter was pretty much exclusively Zero and Ichiru centric, which should please a few Zero fans that I know out there... ;)

It's all conjecture from the pictures at this point, but it looks like those who speculated that Ichiru had his own agenda in following Rido where right. From how it appears... it appears that he was waiting for Rido to wake up so he could kill him, or try to, since it obviously didn't work. Methinks that would definitely have something to do with Shizuka, how Ichiru felt about her and whatever Rido had done to her in the past. Just guessing though.

Oh man... I have a feeling I might just really tear up when I can understand what they're saying, because unless I'm very mistaken, it looks very much like Ichiru is actually dying from the wounds Rido inflicted on him after his attempt to kill him, and he wants Zero to drink his blood before he does, wants Zero to finish him so that (I'm guessing again, but it makes sense) the rest of his life energy will pass back into his twin. Presumably, he also wants Zero to kill Rido. I'm not sure why he shot Zero first, but I'm thinking it's because he probably knew Zero wouldn't do it, wouldn't drink his blood like that unless Zero needed it to survive, because then at least one of them could. We don't get to see what happens, because the manga convienently cuts away to a breif scene with Yuki, Aido, Yori and Kaname before we return to Zero who is now alone as he makes his way out of the prison... bloody, and looking distinctly upset. We don't know if he did or didn't do as Ichiru wanted, but considering he's moving around and alone... dunno... could be wrong, but I think he might have, which would be a sad but superbly angsty twist.

I swear, it gave me shivers when he's dragging his fingernails along the stone wall, leaving deep grooves behind, dark aura swirling around him. And the last image... *shivers again* I'm not sure what to make of it, because his shadow casting on the wall looks like a monster/creature. I'm not sure if that's supposed to be symbolic of how Zero now feels about himself - that he has truly become a monster, or symbolic of the full awakening of his potential as a creature of the night, or just symbolic of how upset and angry he is right now.

Anyway, it looks like a really good chapter and I can't wait to read the translation when it comes out!

YAY! The wonderful folks at VK Scans have done it again! They've translated the Vampire Knight side story that LaLa put out in their July special edition magazine! (Yes, it came out this month, but it's the July edition. No, do not even ask, it's too confusing to explain LOL).

LOL I loved Yuki's reaction to Zero's tattoo... *rolls her eyes* Uh, the tattoo doesn't make him a delinquent, Yuki... but don't worry, he'll act like one anyway... ;) And Zero's reactions were cute, if awkward and unintentionally hurtful. Poor kid, he's got to be feeling so mixed up at that point, and at that naturally akward age too. *Hugs him and can almost get away with it because he's still little* :D

The bit with Kaname was cute too. Awwww! Kaname's jealous that Yuki's talking to him about other guys! *giggles* But it's cute that Yuki would naturally bring her concerns about Zero to Kaname. Sweet clueless little girl. *chuckles* It's too bad he cut her off though, because I would have liked to hear him have to answer a 'what would you do if you were Zero' question. LOL

I wonder what secret Yuki's talking about at the end though? Hmm... either I'm so tired I'm missing the obvious, or maybe it was supposed to be mysterious.

Anyway, 'twas an enjoyable little side story. :)

Just a quick note, wanted to let folks know that YenGirl has updated a couple of her stories! :)

She's posted a new chapter / new scene for "AU Scenes from Crimson Door" (Kaname x Zero)- it's based off of Chapter 11 of my fanfic Crimson Door, the part when Zero lets a starving Kaname drink his blood, and it shows what might have happened if Yuki hadn't woken up and come to stop them quite so soon... ;) It's very good, I loved it!

Yen has also updated her story "No Matter What" (Aido x Yori) with its second chapter. Very cute!!

*trumpeters exit stage right and I follow quickly along behind them because I know how much Yen just loves (sarcasm) the trumpet brigade...* :D :D Sorry, it really couldn't be helped, they just... showed up... *forgets trying to look innocent and instead scuttles away quickly and hides*

LOL although they apparently consider VK to be mature content (must be the blood?) because you have to assure them that you are over 18 to view it. *giggles* Come on folks... it's not that bad... it's just a little blood...

I watched it, and I'm pleased because we got to see a lot of the flashback scenes with Yuki and Kaname and Yuki and Zero that I really liked in the manga. Kya... young Kaname and young Zero are so cute... oh yeah, Yuki too. I wasn't entirely content with the way they drew young Kaname actually, he wasn't quite as subtly expressive as he was in the manga... but I think I'm just being too picky. I wish we could have seen a wee bit more of when he was laughing though. :) Oh, while I'm being picky, my one true complaint is that I REALLY wish they would have lingered on the Zero in the shower scene a little longer. :D That flashed by WAY too fast. Thank heavens for rewind and pause controls. :D

I demand that we have many more such scenes in the future! And they should toss one in for Kaname too, just cause! *starts handing out petitions to sign* ;)

Well, I look forward to the subs when they come out and we get to know what they're saying. :)

Okay, I just got a heads up from one of my readers (thanks!) that Salva Nos, now calling themselves DWYN Scans has released their version of the VK chapter 39 scanlation. I just read it. :D It's not too terribly different from the previous version, but the conversation between Kaname and Zero does play a little differently, and in a few cases a little more smoothly, so it's interesting and worth checking out, especially if like me, you love any excuse to reread past chapters... ;)

I still think you can totally replace the word "horse" with "knight" because of the whole chess anology thing, and that means that Kaname is in effect calling Zero his knight whom he has been fostering all along. :D Sorry, can't help it, I gotta love that notion. You know I have to. :D

Okay, I have to apologize. I don't know why it's taking me so long to get my chapters out lately. It's not exactly writer's block, but my muse has been very sluggish and unhelpful the past week or so. I've got her on an intravenious blood chocolate and caffiene drip though, so I think she's starting to perk up a little.

The bunny farm has certainly not been inactive though... *shies away from them with wide eyes* (whispers) I think they're a little cranky that mama muse hasn't been paying enough attention to them... ;)

OMG... Ms. Hino has finally granted my wish to see Kaname in a more rumpled and... suggestive... pose. Granted, he looks more seductive than rumpled, and I would have loved to see his shirt all the way open, but I'm not about to quibble! *is still sitting in a quavering little pool of goo*

Is that not too perfectly yummy for words?! I have GOT to somehow get hold of this picture without the text over it. I really, REALLY hope that it eventually becomes available that way as some of the covers do. Sweet Dreams is right, I would love to have a poster of that and hang it over my bed... no, I don't care what my fiance thinks, he'd just have to deal with it. ;)

I love the whole blue roses motif too... *sighs dreamily* Think I may have to do a skin for my blog on that theme at some point... Kaname and Zero in a bed of blue roses... that would be cool. ;D

There is also a short bonus story out apparently. Looks like it's about a young Yuki, Zero and Kaname. It looks like it's probably when Zero first gets his tattoo, because Yuki appears surpised to see it. I'm not sure what the're saying though, or what the nature of the conversation that Yuki and Kaname have later is eithr. It hasn't been translated, and I don't know when or if it will be, since the extra stories don't always seem to get scanlated *sniffles* but I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping the wonderful folks who do such things will find time for it in their busy lives. :)

Right now the only place that I know of where you can find the raws for the bonus chapter is in the downloads section of the VK Scans Forums: http://vk.onnacafe.com/. You have to be a member with 25 non-spam posts before you can access the downloads section though.

Okay, got a lot of good stuff to mention!

First off, I FINALLY got the next chapter of my
Kaname x Yuki x Zero fic "Five Hundred Miles" done! Oy... those poor boys, survival is really being hard for them, but at least they have each other... *smiles fondly*
I have to admit, a little bit of the sweetness near the end is indirectly Ms. Hino's fault... I would never have actually come up with that method of feeding on my own if she hadn't favored it in Meru Puri and touched on it again breifly in VK. ;)

I saw the raws at lunch, but am now happily downloading the translated version to watch! Oh man... I wanted to hug Zero so badly in the beginning... *sniffs and hugs her mousepad instead since it's the only thing handy* I know I'm hopeless, but his expressions there at a few points made me go: Oh man, see... that, that look right there is the sad kind of face I see him pulling in Blood Moon... ;) Yeah, I said I was hopeless. *coughs*

Aaanyway, I was pleased to see they kept the encouter when Ichijo took care of the mad vampire with Shiki in tow, and of course, I was quite looking forward to the whole birthday party scene. :D *sighs and would just kill to be Yuki sometimes... especially when a certain pureblood has his arm around her...* ;) And of course *squee* the whole Zero / Kaname gun to the head thing. :D I look forward to being able to understand everything that was being said as soon as the download finishes.

And the end... ow, ow... oh man... again, I felt SO bad for Zero, he was obviously so desperate... it's funny but I actually have way more of an intense and violent urge to want to bash Yagari over the head with something for shooting Zero like that after watching that scene play out in the anime than I did in the manga. I'm not sure why exactly, but I was fuming at the screen when I watched it earlier. *continues squishing poor defenseless mousepad in liu of poor, wet, bleeding Zero who is out of reach*

I got permission from the translator, Tomi, to put up this translation of the preview chapter of the Vampire Knight Novel "Sin of Meloncholy Ice" that appeared in LaLa magazine. :D

It looks really cute! And I hear that Tomi is working on translating the entire novel! Which makes me more than insanely happy. :) Tomi was also kind enough to say that I could post the novel translation when it was finished. So yay! I look forward to that!

Fuuka forgot even to brink her eyes. She couldn’t take her eyes off from the person who just appeared on the stage.

What a beautiful, black-hair—a splendid color of darkness. He was like the ruler of the night. Stood there gently smiling with elegance and dignity—And Fuuka was at loss—Lost in his beauty, she couldn’t help but to be drawn to him…

Beautiful…

What a beautiful person…

The world was turning to his color… I can hardly breathe now… But I feel such happiness at same time…

What is this feeling?

My heart is pounding so hard now… My cheeks feel hot… I’m embarrassed see him straight… but can’t look away, because it’s too precious…

This feeling….What is it?

Meanwhile on stage, Ichijou tried to gain a control of himself even though it was obvious that this person’s appearance shocked him greatly.

Why Kaname is here? This is just a social gathering for the show and there is no need for him to come…???

Then, just as he read what was in Ichijou’s mind, Kaname smile and said,
“I just wanted to congratulate all new students… Shouldn’t I have come?”

“No, way~!” replied girls in the audience, before Ichijou could.

Next, there appeared other members of Night Class —Ruka, Shiki, and Rima— Seeing such gorgeous faces, it was almost a dream-like view on the stage.

“Hey, Ruka. Why didn’t you stop Kaname?” whispered Ichijou.

“I did think that Kaname-sama should not be bothered by these low-life humans, but…” said Ruka angrily.

“…Well, there is nothing we can do to stop him anyway…“, added Shiki.

“Gee…” With a sigh, Ichijou finally put his smile back on his face and turned to audience. “…As you can see, our NC’s chairman came to say his congratulation to you all. Kaname, take it away!”

Got tired of my old theme and decided to change it up again. Let me know what you think. :D

Okay, well, while you're all being so patient and waiting for me to muddle through the next two chapters of my fics, here's a couple more little pictures I did. Finished them a little bit ago but I wasn't quite happy so I've been tweaking them to death and finally decided I better just stop while I'm ahead.

*grins* I do believe someone requested / bunny-sicced me about Senri x Takuma pic a little while ago? ;D Well, voila... it's finished.

Two versions, as usual. LOL First one goes to my deviant art account, the second just opens the picture as I didn't bother putting both on deviant art this time.
