Okay, well, after much prolonged agonizing and indecision, I have decided to go ahead and post my Vampire Knights doujinshi. I can't promise that it's any good, it probably isn't, but well... here it is. I created it with a mixture of Poser and Photoshop. The characters are nowhere near Ms. Hino's incredible style, and probably don't look that much like who they're supposed to at all, but... well... you get the idea, anyway.

WARNINGS: This work is rated MA / NC-17 - it contains nudity, blood and fairly graphic images of yaoi or slash which means male/male sex. This is intended for mature audiences only, if you are under the legal age to be viewing such materials in your country, or if any of that disturbs you, then don't read it.

Please note that this has nothing to do with my story "Crimson Door", although I may have used one or two lines in common at certain points. But the situation and characterizations are different. LOL In this one Zero is actually the aggressor... I know, there's a turn around, huh? Maybe it's kinda OOC for them... I don't know... it worked in my head when I put it together, buuuut... well, it was fun to make anyway.

Well, I'm nervous as heck, but I would (hesitantly) love to hear what people think! (Just please don't tell me that Kaname and Zero don't look right... I already know that, but it's the best I could do).

I was playing around on the Vampire Knight Anime site, just clicking on random links because I can't understand what anything says, and I popped up this cool little 'video'. It seems to be some kind of advertisment for VK obviously, maybe a teaser for the anime or something. It looks like it profiles a couple of the characters such as Yuki, Zero and Kaname at one point. I wish I could read what the rest of it was saying, but its probably summerizing the VK plot. The music is really cool though, I wonder if it's the music they plan to use on the anime? Maybe not, but it's very pretty.

While I'm rambling, I had one of those moments today that bring out my maternal urge and almost makes me want to have children. One of my coworkers in marketing brought her little boy to work with her today. He's four. He has dark, wavy hair, dark eyes, the cutest little cherub face and a very serious, 'grown up' manner when he talks. I swear – this kid is a 'Little Kaname' doppelganger. He looks JUST like the pictures of Kaname as a child in the manga. Sigh... Yup, definitely almost makes me want to have kids. Then I come back to my senses. LOL

I am very unknowlegeable about how these things work, but at least on here I would like to set the record straight and give credit where credit is due. It's that time of month again! VK chapter 36 is out! No official scanlation has yet been released, but I did find the raws available for download here: http://www.usaupload.net/d/d2m5n9ogf4o and read a page by page text translation here: http://community.livejournal.com/vampire_knight/103376.html#cutid1

Please note that I did not upload these the raws or scan them. They were scanned by the wonderful Alessia-chan and sadly I don't know who uploaded them to give credit, but I found them via a link on Google. I know that you can also get the chapter via much faster download speeds and from more hosts on the VK Forums in the downloads section. You do have to be a member with 25 non-spam posts first, but it's totally worth it.

I would like to thank arashi for doing the great text translation of the chapter, and thank my wonderful Hungarian reader for posting the link (which I reposted above)! I have just spent a very enjoyable time sitting with the raws on one side of my screen and the translation on the other, reading through at the same time. Thanks for pointing me to that!

Now, about the chapter... (SPOILERS BELOW)




Ooooo!!! Very interesting, very packed chapter! Yuki seems to have changed so much since 'awakening'... I really LOVE the scene between her and Kaname when she's drinking his blood. It's so sweet and hot at the same time. Totally cute/unexpected to see Yuki as the somewhat agressive one, even if only unintentionally. I adore how Kaname is with her... so gentle, he'd give her anything. *sigh...*

Even though many secrets have come out, I have a feeling there's still some pretty big ones being hidden. It seems that Kaname is letting Yuki continue thinking they're brother and sister, and even let Kain and Aido think that, although he has never used that word towards her and he told Zero that they aren't... I think there's still some truth about her or her past that he's trying to protect her from.

Oh gosh, I feel amusedly sorry for Kain and Aido, being now stuck between Kaname and Yuki... LOL you could tell Yuki was using her pureblood powers on Aido, whether she intended to or not, and there they are, stuck between opposing wishes of two purebloods...

Okay, well, I could go on and on, but I should just let you read things for yourselves, eh?

w00t! The Vampire Knights Anime (due to start airing in Japan in April 2008) now has its own website! http://www.vampire-knight.jp

It's completely in Japanese of course, so... yeah, I can't understand a word, but the picture is cool! And probably representative of how the anime animation will look. It's a bit different than Hino's slightly more graceful and intricate style, but I imagine that would be hard to transfer over to animation. It still looks awesome though and everyone looks like themselves (or at least, Kaname, Zero and Yuki do, no one else is shown right now).

I am very much looking forward to the Anime, and shall post further updates as they may arise!

Well, after a longer wait than I intended (so sorry) I finally got Chapter 18 of Crimson Door (My Vampire Knight fanfic) finished and posted on ff.net. I found a little pic that was definitely insperational in visualizing certain... parts... >:D I'm sitting here debating back and forth about whether it's okay for me to put it up here or not... but what the hell, it's not that graphic. :) Here it is.

So, yeah, that tells you a bit about the chapter. ;) It's mostly Kaname and Zero getting it on hot and heavy... which was a blast to write, but, uh...*crosses fingers* it's more graphic than I've written before so I'm a little nervous. Okay, more than a little nervous, but we'll see how it goes. Fortunately all the folks over there are so nice and encouraging. Don't know if I'd still be writing this story without all their kind encouragement and reviews. :) There's so many truly nice people in the world, you know? Sometimes we don't stop to realize that often enough I think.

While I'm talking about nice people, must send a big wave to my delightful reader in Hungary who was so sweet as to comment and let me know I'm not entirely talking into a vacuum here. *waves* Hi! Thanks!

LOL... of course... now that should scare me - people are actually reading this! Means it's probably only a matter of time before the men in the white lab coats show up trying to take me away... ;) Hey, as long as they have internet enabled padded cells, that's okay by me. I seriously wouldn't mind a little time away from my job right now, that's for sure!

Well, gotta go, the cat is making a racket - probably discovered another colony of wild, savage dust bunnies under the bed, or something equally life-shattering... *rolls eyes*

Okay, the great thing about having a blog, especially one that probably practically nobody reads (don't worry, I don't blame you... although you don't know anyway since you aren't reading this LOL) is that you can rant/ramble about pretty much anything, anytime, for no good reason.

So, that's why I'm posting this mindless drivel at some randomly ungodly hour of the morning when I should be sleeping, but can't because if I go back to bed now, I won't be able to get up in an hour or two and function. Life sucks sometimes, you know? Especially the deadlines part... *sigh*

So I'm sitting here, trying to work on the next chapter of my fic "Crimson Door" and not just sit staring blankly at my computer. *reaches for more coffee* Yeah, I've gotten about a paragraph done in an hour. :P

I'm currently listening to "Rip out the Wings of a Butterfly" by H.I.M and trying to figure out a way to incorporate the lyrics of that song into the title of my next chapter, because some of the lyrics fit very nicely.

Hope everyone is enjoying 2008 thus far!
I enjoy the anticipation of a new year beginning... but at the same time, January is one of my least favorite months because it's deadline crunch heaven in my office. *sighs and looks mornfully at the piles of articles to proof and other backed up paperwork clogging her desk*

As such, posting on my fanfics and all other activities will probably be much sloooower than usual this month :P But the good things about deadlines is that they eventually pass... whether you're ready for them or not - eep! And then things return to normal...
