SPOILERS AHEAD
Okay, I read the chapter now. Massive spoilers throughout this post, so don't read any further if you don't want to be spoilered.
First off – okay, I'm not so upset with Zero anymore. I was kinda after looking at the raws, but not now. It wasn't because Yuki was a vampire he was having a problem, it's because he could feel that she was a pureblood and we all know he's got issues with purebloods, for a good reason. I imagine it must have been very hard suddenly having Yuki feel like her, like Shizuka felt. Yuki didn't exactly help matters, but she's going through a lot right now and I think that having Zero treat her so differently suddenly must have really hurt. So she told him what she fears and thinks is true, that the vampire part of her has swallowed everything else. But I'm certain that's why she was crying later, after Aido chased her down.
It was really interesting finding out about the whole curse of hunter twins, as well as the origins of the hunters. Kinda creepy that one hunter twin will usually devour the other in the womb. I find it interesting though that that didn't happen with Zero and Ichiru. And even if Zero did absorb his brother's energy in some way, even in instinctual form in the womb he didn't kill his brother. And we know he cared a lot about him later in life. It's kind of sad really.
I wonder why Yagari was ordered to restrain Zero, though? And the way he said it – the fragment of the Kiriyu twins... I wonder what will happen with Zero and Ichiru in the future, I have a feeling their fates may yet be bound together.
Ichiru was interesting in this chapter too. I'm not quite sure if he was obeying Kaname because he had no choice for some reason, or if he wanted to. It was really interesting finding out about how hunters came to be... they ate a vampire to gain the ability to fight them. Macabre, certainly, but it actually makes perfect sense. That supports the obvious theory then that hunters are indeed different than humans and that it's hereditary.
I'm intensely interested and puzzled about why Kaname can't bring himself to kill Rido, either as a child or now. We know he can kill even when he doesn't really want to. He obviously didn't really want to kill Shizuka. So there must really be something there... I'm still knocking around a curiosity about the possibility that Rido isn't his uncle at all, but might in fact be his father. I wonder though... what he's planning now. Why he's giving Rido what he wants and using his own blood to bring him back to life in his original body?
LOL actually... this twist highly amuses me in one way simply because of the direction that my (by now very AU) fanfic "Crimson Door" is headed within the next chapter or two. But that's beside the point.
Oh, before I forget, I liked Kaname's conversation with Ruka. It was obviously bittersweet, but still sweet. She's really a much better person that most people (including me) usually portray her and I have to give her points for that. I hope she finds happiness too... maybe with Kain, who kinda seemed to like her... ;) okay, sorry, totally off-topic there. But I liked the exchange, and the fact that Kaname was obviously sorry that he couldn't return her unspoken affection for him, but that he wanted her to know that he trusted her.
I wonder what Kaname's preparing for, keeping all the day students safely cooped up in their dorm... he's prepping for a storm it seems. I wonder what will happen when Rido awakens?! LOL on a side note, I also have to wonder what the heck the day students will think of being kept in like this and if they'll ever know what's really going on. Heh
Okay, well, I have rambled way past long enough for one post, so I shall shut up now.

:) I'm happy I could bring you news! Usually I am the one who gets the news from you....
I thought the same about Zero... I hope he will not die now, because I don't know what does this 'restrain' thing mean....What does the Association want to do with him?
And the curse....the origin of the hunters...I love Hino Matsuri's fantasy! I have read lots of vampire stories, but I haven't found anything like this!
Your fanfic is the only one that can match with VK :D
That hint about the next chapters...you did it on purpose, didn't you? Anyway, I get up early today, so I can write reviews...
The last chapter was amazing, I want to catch up as soon as possible.

Keep torturing me like this, and I will get up every single day at 4 o'clock...:D
Otherwise I wouldn't have time to write a review or a comment...but like this I will have time to learn too...so thanks for giving me a good reason to get up. :)

Yeah, I'm kinda worried about Zero and what they want with him too. You know, it's facinating, considering there's apparently a little 'vampire' in the hunters to start with, I wonder if the fact that Zero is a vampire *and* a hunter will ever play in anywhere? I liked that Yagari could tell there was something different about Zero and guessed it was because of what he'd been drinking. (I'm assuming the change he sensed was caused by K's blood).
You're so right, Ms. Hino has a wonderful imagination!! *blushes* thanks so much! :D :D
LOL sorry about the hinting, couldn't help it. You'll know why next chapter I think... ;)
Whoa! 4 o'clock? I admire your drive and will power! I am like a vampire in reverse, I just do not *function* at that hour of the morning. ;P
*beams and hugs* Thanks so much! You give me a reason to smile all the time! :)

Yeah, Zero's life may have even more secrets and difficulties than Yuuki...I love it when the characters are intelligent and every action and sentence makes sense. :)
I agree, drinking Kaname's blood must be the cause...
I'm waiting eagerly for the next one...:)
I wanted to write a few reviews this morning, but I was thrown off fanfiction.net when I tried to post it....:(
And I need to get up early, because I usually get home late - today I skipped a few things... - and I don't have the strength to do/write anything...
Just keep smiling, then you will make everyone around you happy!
Now I'm happy too :)
