My Vampire Heart

Well, just a little update. I was out of town the past week over Christmas. Went down to Central America, it was great. Back now though. I'm going to have a lot of catching up to do at the office of course, so things will probably be a bit hectic the next few weeks. *sigh* Ah well, still have New Years to look forward to before I have to go back to the grind.

Am working on the next chapter of "Crimson Door", so we'll see how long it takes me to get it out there. I've finished putting together the fan doushinji I shared some sample pages from a looong time ago and settled on using "Your Sins into Me" as the title. I want to put it up, but I'm a little embarressed as it's quite graphic... so I'm still working up my courage. :P

Wow, that was fast! The scanlation / translation for chapter 35 is up on onemanga (http://www.onemanga.com/Vampire_Knight/) and manga trader (http://www.mangatraders.com/manga/series/308) already! WEEE!!!! I snuck time away from packing to quickly gobble the chapter up!

It was good, very good... I'm still somewhat confused by all of what is going on, but I think that's as should be as the mystery is still being built up. I can't wait to see what happens though!

I see a few major gaps in the story right now that are puzzling me, such as if Yuki really is a 'hidden' vampire already, why no one else could tell, why even Aido and Zero who drank her blood couldn't tell, and why her blood wouldn't have the same effect on Zero that Kaname's did if she really is a Kuran... but, again, perhaps these mysteries will be resolved with time. Right now I'm leaning towards Yuki actually being Rido's child, who was taken from him and hidden, and merely thought that Kaname's parents were hers, or I suppose it could be visa versa. Or, she might not be a Kuran at all and was actually adopted... but that doesn't make a whole ton of sense either. Guess we'll see!

SPOILERS BELOW....



Okay, I'm happy with VK again. The English Scanlation for chapter 35 still hasn't come out yet of course, but someone kind who can read Japanese has confirmed that on the last page, Kaname says something to the effect of that he wishes he'd been born Yuki's real brother... which means he isn't her real brother, which makes me completely happy and relieved!

Okay, it's pathetic but this news definitely is making my Christmas brighter. Yup. Confirmed pathetic over-invloved fan over here apparently. :P

Now that I'm over that worry, I totally can't wait for the Vampire Knight Chapter 35 scanlation to come out!!! I really want to know what's going on and the chapter lookes entirely awesome with lots of revelations about the past!! Can't wait!!!

BIG SPOILERS BELOW! READ NO FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILERED!!!




I am having very mixed feelings right now. Just looking at the raws made me all excited because they're just awesome, absolutely awesome! The scenes between Kaname and Yuki are sweet and Zero is obviously predictibly pissed and wanting to shoot someone... and then we get to see into Kaname's and Yuki's past and how they obviously knew each other before Yuki lost her memory. So, looking at the raws alone was very cool. But I also read some of the spoilers for the chapter from folks who can read japanese (I can't and it's not scanlated yet) and I almost wished I hadn't. I don't want to spread this as a fact, but it looks like Kaname and Yuki might be brother and sister, and that just depresses the heck out of me. *sighs* It's not a twist I'm pleased with at all. I'm hoping against hope that this will prove to not be true, or that they're maybe cousins instead or something... but as of right now I'm pretty bummed.

I really can't wait for the scanlation to come out though, because I want to know for myself what's going on, maybe it'll make me feel better.

Wow, I just read a little story Vampire Knight extra story that I didn't know exsisted before. It was about Shizuka and Ichiru before Shizuka died and it gives a little history on Shizuka's past. I think it was a very important story because it shows us more about those two and what their relationship was like.

Actually, I feel really sad for them both now, which I would never have thought I'd feel. Don't get me wrong, there's no excuse for what they did, but Shizuka's story is sad and Ichiru... dang... poor thing, he really was in love with her.

Ms. Hino does a really good job of making you feel for almost everyone in her stories, even the non-hero characters. That may be part of why I like her mangas so much, especially this series.

The story can be found on the Vampire Knight forums (http://vk.onnacafe.com) in the announcment section of the Vampire Knight board - BUT it is not to be taken off the forums or reposted anywhere. So I'm not going to link directly to the topic. The link given will take you to the main site, you can browse through and find it. If you aren't a member, take some time to look at the other topics and the rest of the site too and consider joining. It's a great place and there's always neat new VK stuff being posted. :)

Yesss!!!! It's a beautiful day! Er... evening... whatever! Just found out that Chapter 34 of Vampire Knights has already been translated! WOOT! After the long wait for the last one I wasn't expecting anything so soon, I'm totally jazzed. :D As you can probably tell...

*attempts to regain some decorum*

Okay, I've read it now. Ooooooh!!! It's just as good as it looked from reading the raws! So many tantalizing hints of revelation reguarding the past, without giving us too much of anything definite. Eeeevil Ms. Hino... eeeevil... but I love it. :D Am also quite pleased to note that I was correct in my guess of who was responsible for the state of Rido's body. >:D And about who Shizuka's fiance was... but I won't say any more to avoid spoilers. Go. Read the chapter for yourself. Enjoy... I know I did!

The quality of the translation was really pretty good on this one too, I had no trouble reading and understanding the whole thing. It was done by a group called Salva Nos scans, but I don't know any other information about them except for that, not even where to leave my thanks, so I'll just say it here: Thank you so much to the wonderful scanlators who brought us Chapter 34 so delightfully swiftly!! You are the best! :D

Mmmm... I may just go back and re-read the whole chapter... just... because... :) :) Kaname looks so yummy when he's upset and Zero looks so yummy when he's being passive... gah, they all just look yummy all the time. Nice that there's some delicious things in life that come without calories at least! ;)
